I went to get sugared by Nia! What a game changer.
She was very gentle and kind. Making sure I was ok during the process. Sugar vs waxing, Nia sugared me 3 1/2 weeks ago and I have no hair growing back. What is SUGARING?
Sugaring is an Ancient Egyptian method of hair removal that is gaining that is gaining popularity in the United States as a luxury alternative to waxing. Sometimes called sugar waxing, sugaring is a gentle, effective and all natural solution for unwanted hair. Sugar paste is made from 3 ingredients: sugar, lemon, water. It is applied and removed via a professional hand technique that takes time and dedication to master.
—How is sugaring different than waxing?
Waxing removes hair in the opposite direction of the hair growth, which can be very painful, leads to follicle scarring and can cause ingrown hair bumps. Wax is applied hot, which can cause painful burns or tearing of sensitive areas.
- Sugar paste isn't hot so there is no risk of burning or turning your skin bright red.
- Sugar paste is gentle, it will not remove live skin cells. It attaches to just the hair and dead skin cells which will result in smooth exfoliated skin with little to no irritation
- The sugaring technique removes hair in the natural direction it grows. In turn will result in little to no ingrown hairs, slower growth with diminishing thin fine hair.
